Cartooning with Mark McKenna
"Mark McKenna, a long time comic book artist working for DC and Marvel Comics on more then 400 comic books and 7000 pages offers a class on the process of comic book creating. Learn what it takes to create a comic book by working on your own 1-3 page comic short story from the idea phase to the lettering, panel arrangement, drawing and inking of the artwork. Students interested in learning the process should come to workshop with ideas in mind and Mr. McKenna will help the ideas come to life on the comic art boards.
Mark McKenna has worked on The X Men, Batman, Spider Man and the Hulk and is currently working on the Dark Horse Comic's Star Wars:The Lost Suns mini series. Tuesdays 6:15 - 7:30 $20 a class Mark McKenna- instructor

Children's mix medium: Sept - June
These classes are designed for children ages 5 years to teens. Your child will learn the basic principles of art such as composition, color, perspective, and shading. We will be using many mediums such as oil pastels, chalk pastels, pencil, water colors, acrylics, markers, charcoal and paints. This class is held on Monday, Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings. Although many of the projects are the same in the different classses, the students are encouraged to work at their level according to their individual strenghts. $18 a class. All supplies included.
